Davos is a ski village nestled in the Alps where competitions are held right in the village. This also marks the 75th anniversary of CISS. 16 of the 18 participating countries took at least one medal home. Snowboarding has been recognized as a demonstration sports. The sports offered at the 14th Winter World Games for the Deaf were held in the disciplines of Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Ice Hockey and Snowboard.
