The development of the Comité International des Sports des Sourds (CISS) web site began in the spring of 1996 to provide information about our organization and events to all visitors in the world. The first coverage of the Davos Games was hosted on DeafNation web site.  Deaflympics web site was eventually created in 2001 in preparation for the Summer Games in Rome. CISS and Deaflympics sites were merged to one site, "Deaflympics", in 2004. CISS's strong focus is to bring all visitors to one site and to have readers learn all about the Games, sports, and events in one site. It has been updated ever since to keep information about our organization and events current. The site will keep growing as information, recollections, and photographs continue to build in. While we would be very happy if you linked to this site, or printed out material for educational purposes, we would like to remind you that the content and graphics within the site are protected by copyright and cannot be copied or re-used in any electronic format without written permission from the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf.
